Ukraine Visa Requirements

  • Original valid passport (Valid at least for 3 months from departure date & min. 2 empty pages)
  • Filled out and signed Ukrainian visa application form
  • One passport size photo. (Photo facility is available on-site - TORONTO, OTTAWA, MARKHAM & VANCOUVER). Please note that photos from photo booth or home-shot photos are not acceptable.
  • Flight itinerary and hotel booking confirmation along with medical insurance (min 30,000 Euro) valid for all the period of stay in Ukraine. If you do not have the insurance you may get it by clicking on the following link: https://www.visacenter.ca/travel-insurance.

  • Letter from employer stating the position and salary. For unemployed and self-employed: bank statement showing adequate financial status.


  • Non-Canadian applicants, including holders of Canadian Travel Document must provide the copy of the document confirming their current resident status in Canada (PR Card, Landed Document, Work Permit), copy of SIN Card and driver's licence. Holders of Travel Documents who used to be Russian citizens must submit declaration that they do not have Russian citizenship any more.
  • Persons WITH DUAL citizenship, ONE of which IS Canadian, must apply WITH their Canadian passports only. Applicants WITH other THAN Canadian passports must provide the copy of the document confirming their current resident STATUS IN Canada (PR Card, Landed Document, WORK Permit)

Q: Do Canadians need a visa to Ukraine?

If you are traveling to Ukraine with Canadian passport in most cases you do not need to obtain entry visa to Ukraine at the consulate beforehand.
